Time: 3 classes 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (the Dec. 13 class runs 9 am to 4 pm)
4-Class Series Cost: $55 one/$85 two from same farm (or register for individual classes $10 to $25 ea)

Are you interested in developing or expanding a farm stand or agritourism operation? A 4-class series on the subject begins Nov. 28. This grant-funded series will explain how: 1) to work with county and state planners in order to comply with the regulations of running farm stands and agritourism operations; 2) to write a business and marketing plan; 3) to understand the process of accepting EBT payments (food stamps); 4) to use social media. Learn the basics of setting up a business page, attracting and retaining a reliable customer base, and effectively analyzing the extensive sets of data that each platform provide. By the end of the day, you will have a clear picture about how social media advertising can benefit your business. Everyone is welcome to attend, producers and the general public. Sign up for one class or all four (Nov. 28 and Dec. 13, 2017, and Jan. 10 and Feb. 6, 2018)

The workshop series is possible due to a generous grant through the Western Center for Risk Management Education. It gives us an exciting opportunity to improve consumer access to locally raised farm products by increasing the number of legal farm stand and agritourism operations in Southern Oregon. This grant means that we are also offering producers consultation time with the Education Program Assistant.
